The fact the woods were magical was omitted from your pre-quest information, as was the fact that Ragnar is, in fact, a goblin, with a rather bizarre habit, that you have not yet realized.

[2025/06/17 15:04] Sonja Bikergrrl: Debben has a musket, Katana, who is slightly injured, liberated a blunderbuss, and Leesha has got herself into more than she probably intended.

[2025/06/17 15:05] Sonja Bikergrrl: Amigara, by the way, has a bizarres phenomenon hovering over it, which looks bizarrely like a lens.... which keeps getting bigger

[2025/06/17 15:10] Sapphire: Do we see anything blocking our way to Amigara?
[2025/06/17 15:11] Sonja Bikergrrl: Fields. Scrublands. A trail that meanders into the distance... it goes to Amigara, more or less, and passes by Shadowgate, an old castle.
[2025/06/17 15:12] Mecha: What time of day is it?
[2025/06/17 15:12] Sonja Bikergrrl: It's 11AM, just before midday. You should make Shadowgate by evening, just before it gets dark. Another day should see you in Amigara.
[2025/06/17 15:13] Mecha: Leesha looks at the others."Shall we stop at Shadowgate for our next camp?"
[2025/06/17 15:14] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana brightens a little. "They should have a shrine, and a company of soldiers. I say Aye!"
[2025/06/17 15:14] Sapphire: "Might as well. Good time to get word of what's happening out here." She eyes that weird lensing effect over the town, worried.
[2025/06/17 15:15] Mecha: Leesha looks at the githyanki. *Mecha can not remember her name but since it's been a day Leesha probably will*"What do you think?"
[2025/06/17 15:15] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana follows Debbens' gaze, and her expression becomes grim, or grimmer, given that she's usually got a stony expression on. She mutters something, the word "evil" can be heard clearly.

[2025/06/17 15:16] Sapphire: "The entire town, or the sheild around it?"
[2025/06/17 15:16] Sonja Bikergrrl: Valyra shrugs slightly. "This not my dar."

[2025/06/17 15:20] Mecha: Leesha shakes her head."Sorry, no idea. Don't think I have heard that word."
[2025/06/17 15:20] Sonja Bikergrrl: Valyra rolls her eyes and mutters a word under her breath. "K'chakhi."
[2025/06/17 15:21] Sonja Bikergrrl: Valyra pauses and spreads out her arms. "All this... everything... all you see, this is a dar."
[2025/06/17 15:21] Mecha: *Please say Leesha can know this one*
[2025/06/17 15:21] Sapphire: "What would be a different dar then?"
[2025/06/17 15:21] Sonja Bikergrrl: ("Idiot")
[2025/06/17 15:22] Sonja Bikergrrl: Valyra reaches down, takes up a handful of dirt. "Imagine... elsewhere.... everything." She shows you the handful of dirt. "Another dar."
[2025/06/17 15:23] Mecha: *Oh no this one figured it out but this one was hoping you would let Leesha know the word*
[2025/06/17 15:23] Sonja Bikergrrl: Valyra points up and stretches arms out, to indicate the sky: "Another dar, all this."
[2025/06/17 15:24] Mecha: Ah okay. The world
[2025/06/17 15:24] Sonja Bikergrrl: Valyra picks up a waterskin, and shakes it. "Water... another dar."
[2025/06/17 15:25] Mecha: Leesha shakes her head."I got it now." Even if it isn't yours , you're here and with us. So your input is important
[2025/06/17 15:25] Sapphire: "Hmmmm."
[2025/06/17 15:26] Sapphire: "So what would we see upon your own dar?"
[2025/06/17 15:26] Sonja Bikergrrl: Valyra gives Leesha a rather condescending look, a slight smile, as if you've just told someone who circumnavigated the world that you've been to the village just over the kill.
[2025/06/17 15:27] Sonja Bikergrrl: Valyra looks at Debben, her smile suddenly replaced with a grim frown. "Nothing. We not talking about my dar. I have nothing to say."
[2025/06/17 15:28] Sonja Bikergrrl: Hill, not kill, BTW.
[2025/06/17 15:29] Sapphire: She raises her brow. "Not even in passing?"
[2025/06/17 15:29] Mecha: All right.. Well let's get going." Leesha walks with the cart as it rides, making sure we have supplies for the rest of the trip
[2025/06/17 15:29] Sonja Bikergrrl: Valyra gives an annoyed snort and strides forwards, away from Debben. "No."
[2025/06/17 15:30] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana, meanwhile, has unrolled the map, and ignores Valyra. "Debben, Leesha, a quick word, I've just checked the map."
[2025/06/17 15:30] Mecha: Leesha heads over
[2025/06/17 15:31] Sapphire: "Is there a mis-map?"
[2025/06/17 15:31] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana glances to check Valyra is out of earshot. "I've said it before, comrades, and I'm saying it again... that one is -evil-... can you not see?"
[2025/06/17 15:33] Sapphire: She shrugs. "She's certainly rude. But evil? Supposedly i and half the people i've ever met are evil."
[2025/06/17 15:34] Mecha: "She hasn't done anything evil as far as I can tell. Though I did get kissed almost outta my boots."
[2025/06/17 15:34] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "I'm aware of your less than good standing and character, Debben, but at least you are usually trying to do the right thing!"
[2025/06/17 15:35] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana rolls the map up and shoves it in the scroll case with rather more force than necessary. "Fine. You want to be pressing your lips to what will probably slit your throat in a heartbeat... fine. But I have a mission to complete, and I'm keeping my eye on her."
[2025/06/17 15:37] Mecha: Leesha shakes her head."Which of you two have the reigns for this trip?"
[2025/06/17 15:37] Sapphire: She'd meant that more as an 'they call everyone evil' statement but shrugs. "I have the reigns, it's my wagon."
[2025/06/17 15:38] Mecha: Leesha nods and moves to her usual spot."Then let's get this K'chakhi on the road."
[2025/06/17 15:39] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana strides alongside the wagon, on the opposite side from Valyra, muttering under her breath with her blunderbuss over a shoulder. You catch repeated phrases... "...I tried..." and "...evil..." and "but would they listen?"
[2025/06/17 15:41] Sapphire: "So, Katana," she asks. "What do you actually recommend we do?"
[2025/06/17 15:41] Sonja Bikergrrl: Oh, now is a good time for Sapphire and Mecha to roll a d20

[2025/06/17 15:42] Sonja Bikergrrl: Leesha just catches sight of a small green arm withdrawing quickly from under Debbens' seat, where her pack is stowed.
[2025/06/17 15:43] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "I'm not sure, but that ahead is evil, mark my words, and only a unified team working for good can possibly overcome it."
[2025/06/17 15:44] Mecha: Can Leesha try to grab it?
[2025/06/17 15:44] Sapphire: "And a slit throat would not go well for us...."

[2025/06/17 15:46] Sonja Bikergrrl: Ragnar just gives a little grin, looking for all the world like a kid just caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
[2025/06/17 15:46] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "Admittedly that is one worry I don't have."
[2025/06/17 15:47] Mecha: Ragnar, what are you doing?"
[2025/06/17 15:48] Sonja Bikergrrl: Ragnar just grins broader and dances a little sideways jig, exactly like kids do when caught with hands in cookie jars. "nnnuuuuuffin..."
[2025/06/17 15:48] Sapphire: "Did you find anything interesting?"
[2025/06/17 15:49] Sonja Bikergrrl: Ragnar: "Packets of powder and balls of metal. And a book. And... a lot of stuff."
[2025/06/17 15:50] Sapphire: "Yes. *My* Stuff. do you even know what you're looking at messing with a magic users gear? Something could have evaporated your hand you know."
[2025/06/17 15:50] Mecha: /me still has a hold of his arm."Ragnar, it's your stuff. How do you wanna handle this?"
[2025/06/17 15:50] Sonja Bikergrrl: Ragnar looks down and mutters
[2025/06/17 15:51] Sonja Bikergrrl: Ragnar: "'s not my stuff, why's I carrying metal balls, powder and books for?"
[2025/06/17 15:53] Sapphire: Debben gives an odd look at Lesha
[2025/06/17 15:53] Mecha: You know what I mean Ragnar. It's not my stuff so it is not my judgement on ya.
[2025/06/17 15:53] Sapphire: "Perhaps you can give me something of yours as apology. I will not do you the disservice of rummaging about carelessly in your own things."
[2025/06/17 15:53] Mecha: "Debben i'm having a moment of brain fry. I know it's yourstuff."
[2025/06/17 15:55] Sonja Bikergrrl: Interesting though this is getting, you can't help but notice a bit of a hubbub up ahead. Three beams have been erected, with small branches piled at the bases. You can just about make out the scent of oil. Three people are being held, screaming and yelling, by various villagers, while three official-looking types are gesturing and directing.
[2025/06/17 15:57] Sapphire: "....a burning." She sits up and frowns, one hand clenched tightly. "A -barbaric- practice. Ragnar, I will forgive this transgression fully if you help me ensure that burning does not continue." Her entire being has shifted to contained fury.
[2025/06/17 15:57] Sonja Bikergrrl: And that shall be our cliffhanger until next time, I am running down.
[2025/06/17 15:57] Mecha: Leesha is on that too."Let's stop this real quick."
[2025/06/17 15:58] Sapphire: (nods)
[2025/06/17 15:59] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "Burning is a permissible form of execution for particularly dastardly deeds - let's not be too hasty to jump to conclusions."
[2025/06/17 15:59] Sapphire: ( i feel like Debben has experienced someone close to her dying in exactly that manner, which is why she takes it so personally )
